Meet Rusty

Rusty was a faithful companion for over 10 years. Rescued from a breeding farm where he was abused for being too big to sell, he was first adopted by Patricia’s friend in San Antonio, TX. When she was diagnosed with cancer, she asked Patricia to give him a loving home. At first, Rusty was too afraid to leave his crate, staying put for three days. Slowly, walks and the comfort of sleeping on the bed helped him open up. For a year, he stayed under Patricia’s desk, following her everywhere until he finally realized he was safe and loved. He began to play, enjoy life, and truly settle in. The day he crossed the rainbow bridge was heartbreaking, and Patricia vowed never to forget him. The images on this site aren’t of Rusty himself but serve as a tribute to his memory and that promise.
